Self-inking Stamps became very popular in the late 1970's, when Plastic Self-inkers were introduced. They have a built-in Stamp Pad and when pressing down, the stamp die rotates and stamps. The Stamp Die is made with Polymer Plastic Material or Rubber. The Pad can be easily removed and re-inked or replaced. Stamps approximately 25,000 Impressions without re-inking. Prior this time, Metal Self-inkers with Rubber Dies were already available for Industrial Use. Impression Quality: Very Good
Laser Engraved Stamps were introduced in the mid-1990's, when it became possible to produce Real Rubber Stamps from Computer to Laser and Direct to Rubber. In the beginning stages, the material was a problem to burn into rubber, however it has been improved considerably since. Engraved Rubber Laser Stamps are the most sturdy stamps on the market. Stamps approximately 25,000 Impressions without re-inking.
Impression Quality: Very Good
Pre-inked Flash Stamps are the Latest Technology Stamps, which require No Stamp Pad. Flash Stamps were developed in the mid-1990's, but it took a while before Material and Ink was perfected. The ink is imbedded into the material and stamping is done from the Stamp Direct to Paper. Flash Stamps require only light hand pressure and giving clear sharp impressions each and every time you stamp. The Impression Quality Difference is especially visible on larger stamps. MaxLight Flash Stamps will produce twice the number of impressions and are re-inkable up to 1/2 Million Inpressions. Today, Pre-inked Flash Stamps are considered the Ultimate Rubber Stamps todate.
